Product Details

It's an important Calcium source, an essential macronutrient in forming the cell walls within the plant, giving them greater strength and stability, favoring the fruit settings with greater consistency and post-harvest durability. The product is the most indispensable fertilizer for a continuous application along a crop’s growth cycle, be it fertigation or hydroponics. Select Calcium will help maintain an optimum level of Calcium in the plant and will prevent or correct any deficiencies. Being a great water-soluble source of nitrogen and calcium in an easy-to-absorb form, it leads to quick benefits for the crops throughout their growth period. It will help your fruit and vegetables have a longer shelf life and a better quality all round.

Calcium Nitrate provides a rich source of calcium and nitrogen nutrients vital for the growth and development of crops. Due to its water-soluble formulation, it quickly dissolves in water which makes it easy to apply through foliar or drip irrigation systems, and is readily absorbed by the crops. It also helps to neutralize the soil ph levels and improves the soil structure and nutrient availability. It is compatible with other fertilizers and agrochemicals which makes it easier to be mixed with other combinations of nutrients to meet specific nutrients of the crop.

Dose of Calcium Nitrate

Soil application: 10-20 kg /acre

Foliar spray: 5-10 gm per litre water as per your crop type and requirement

Soil application- It can be used in the range of 20 to 50 kg per acre as a basal application at sowing or at first irrigation. It can also be used at the time of growth and flowering as per the production capacity of the crop.

Spray application- Calcium Nitrate can be sprayed in crops from pre-flowering to fruits formation. For spraying in a standing crop, use 5-10 grams of Calcium Nitrate per liter of water. It can be sprayed 2 to 3 times as required, at the interval of 10-15 days.

Benefits of Calcium Nitrate

  1. Provides Calcium which is an essential macronutrient in forming the cell walls within the plant, giving it greater strength and stability, favoring the fruit settings with greater consistency and post-harvest durability
  2. Helps form new branches in plants, flowering, and fruit development, and prevent fruit drop.
  3. Has readily available Nitrogen which is absorbed quickly by the plants
  4. Helps maintain the structure of soil, displacing the sodium salts
  5. Reduces risk of sodification and de-structuration of soils, especially when saline water is used for irrigation.

Crops

May give beer results in Tomato, Coon, Grapes, Onion, Ginger, Banana, Turmeric, Capsicum, etc.
