HYDROGEL S is made from sodium polyacrylate, a super absorbent polymer that absorbs and stores 300-500 times its own weight in water. Mixed into soil before planting or transplanting at 1-3kg per acre, it forms a gel-like reservoir that captures irrigation or rainwater and gradually releases moisture to plant roots as the soil dries. This reduces irrigation frequency, supports crop survival during dry spells, improves soil porosity and aeration (particularly in sandy soils), and promotes stronger root development. The manufacturer describes it as non-toxic and biodegradable over time when used as recommended, and it's positioned for sandy soil, drought-prone areas, transplanting support, seed germination and water-saving farming generally.
